My Memoir

Across 4 Continents is the story of my journey through four countries—Finland, Australia, Japan, and the United States—on four different continents. It’s a story of many layers of self-discovery that lead to a deeper search for belonging. The book weaves together themes of family, love, identity, and resilience, exploring how our experiences—and even those of our ancestors—shape who we become. Over time, I’ve come to see that healing isn’t something we find outside ourselves; it often happens quietly, beneath the surface, as we learn to listen to—and trust—the path of our hearts.

My greatest hope is that this book brings light to what so often remains hidden—the quiet suffering that can exist behind even the most “together” lives. Perhaps by vulnerably sharing my own path—the beauty, the struggles, the grief, and the healing—others might feel less alone in theirs, and more hopeful about their own unfolding journey toward feeling at home within themselves.
